About Us
The American Team Championship Events
Founded by game store owners Chris Pryor of Grand Adventures Comics and Shange Grubb owner of Dicehead Games and Comics in 2008, the American Team Championships (ATC) began as a 5 player Warhammer 40k team event as an answer to the Warhammer community wanting a team event.
Chris and Shane teamed up to bring this event to the community and the event continued to grow every year as miniature players everywhere came to love team events, with the ATC being at the forefront of most player's favorite event of the year.
As of 2024, The ATC has Expanded into THREE Separate Events - The North American Team Championships, The ATC Circuit and the 8TC! Furthering Our Mission to bring miniatures players together from all over the world to have fun, fellowship and compete in some of the best events possible in the U.S.
The American Team Championship
Now in its 14th year, the ATC is THE event to decide who is the Best of the Best in the Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar communities!
Teams compete against each other in fierce and strategic competition to be crowned THE American Team Champions!
The ATC also hosts many other miniature game events including Star Wars, Marvel Crisis Protocol, Kill Team and Modelling workshops for a full on convention experience. Held in Chattannooga TN.
8TC
2025 brings you the USA's Premiere Warhammer 40,000 8-Player Team Event, the 8TC.
In 2024, the 8TC was the first event of it's kind in North America.
The 8TC brings an exciting new level of competition and strategy to the Warhammer 40k community.
Ran in conjunction with The National Tabletop League, this event is it's own special team event and is also on the National Tabletop League 8-Player 2025 Circuit. Held in Cleveland TN.
The American Team Championship Circuit
Hosted and ran by Away Games and The Green Dragon, the ATC Circuit is a series of 4 Events that track each team and player's performance over the course of the circuit with Major Awards presented at the NATC Event in July. Every event in the ATC Circuit is standardized and created to run and score exactly the same as the NATC Event. Each Circuit Event hosts a 40k 5-Player Team Even with the winner of each event receiving a ticket to the ATC Main Event. Held in various locations across the USA.

Each event has amazing custom trophies including our coveted 40k Servo-Skulls and Best in Faction Red, White and Blue Medals.
